Online Consent Form – Giving Authority to ACTTPOA to Manage Member’s Plates

The ACTTPOA Management Committee has agreed to establish a service to organise the issue of ACT Perpetual Taxi Plates on behalf our members. The current lease rates are very diverse and operators have been allowed to put pressure on individual plate owners to lease at lower and lower rates.

The aim for the ACTTPOA in setting up this service is to bring ACT Perpetual Taxi Plates together and to ensure plates are leased at more consistent rates. We will do this by offering owners and operators the chance to communicate with transparency to one another through a framework that is mediated by the ACTTPOA.

This will mean that all rental agreements that are entered into are mediated by the ACTTPOA in order to ensure members are treated with fairness and the agreements they make are upheld.

Please answer the following questions to confirm that you give your full consent and have no objection to transferring the authority to manage your taxi plate rental needs to the ACTTPOA.

The ACTTPOA is offering to manage the monthly lease payments made by lessees. This service will be provided for $15 per week. If plate owners would like to manage their own payments directly the cost for plate management services through the ACTTPOA is $10 per week. The ACTTPOA will contact the operator if the plate is already leased and organise for the transfer of lease management.
