ACT TAXI OWNERS AGM Reminder – 12 Noon, Saturday 22 July, 2017 at the Ainslie Football Club, 52 Wakefield Avenue, AINSLIE

To all ACTTPOA members,

Our AGM will be conducted from 12 noon, on Saturday 22 July, in the “Gungahlin Room” of the Ainslie Football club, 52 Wakefield Avenue Ainslie.

 It is MOST important that every member make a concerted effort to attend this meeting as the subjects on the agenda are those of most concern to each of us.  The position of each our members will become vital in our negotiations with government for a “Partial’ Buy-back of Taxi Plates and the inclusion / exclusion of members will need be determined for negotiations expected to take place over the coming months.

 For this reason the meeting was scheduled for Saturday 22 July as it will enable those travelling up from the coast or from interstate to attend with greater flexibility being able to be undertaken over a weekend.  It is expected that there should also be greater numbers of ACT locals able to attend in a non-weekday as many have had other commitments to attend to during their working week.

As the RU Club Turner has undergone renovations and every other club demands payment for the use of a room we were left with no alternative but to pay $250 (from our meagre financial resources) for the use of the Room at the Ainslie Football Club.

The AGM will also provide an opportunity for members to pay their annual membership subscriptions now due ($20 per each plate owned).

Those unable to attend may pay their membership fees at any time now and up to 31 July by Bank Transfer to ACTTPOA , Bendigo Bank,  BSB No. 633 000, Account Number 157128547.

I do hope to see a large attendance for the AGM and look forward to seeing and meeting with you all at that time.  A revised focussed Agenda will be sent to all members next week.
